Han is dedicated to support non-profits by offering practical, tailor-made and flexible solutions on all fundraising levels. The way he would have liked to be supported when he was head fundraising of non-profit organizations the past ten years. Rather than providing broad concepts, his tools and advice can be implemented directly in your organization.
Maaike brings in field experience. She has been working for over a decade in -mostly francophone- Africa, both in the field of international development cooperation as in the international cultural sector. She knows how to combine theory and practice. She has worked for non profits as well as large institutional donors and is able to link both perspectives.
Julia has large experience in fundraising, project, and programme facilitation with a particular focus on the Middle East and Africa. She combines technical skills with practical experience to help institutions reach funding and organisational objectives within an evolving landscape.
Naz has a multidisciplinary background as a Business Engineer and European Studies expert. She has diverse professional experience in fundraising, program development, advocacy and project management. She uses her background to find optimised solutions for your organisation to thrive.

WEBLECTURE FOR OVER 200 SCHOOLS AROUND THE GLOBE

‘Han Valk’ is a startup fundraising consultancy company. We currently support over 15 nonprofit clients in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. We work with a core team of five consultants and with a flexible team of consultants through our partnership with SoHo – Global Fundraising Network. Due to rapid expansion we are looking for an entrepreneurial fundraising talent who is willing to act in interim positions with our clients and support us in expanding our work. Your first assignment will be to support the fundraising team of a well-respected international organization based in The Hague, The Netherlands, for a minimum of six months.
– Support clients in their foundation and high net worth individuals fundraising activities through interim positions (situated at the clients’ office).
– Provide expert guidance in identifying clients’ needs and offer solutions.
– Participate in the analysis of potential funding opportunities.
– Develop and implement a fundraising strategy targeting (high net worth) individuals.
– Develop a marketing strategy and clear propositions in collaboration with client’ communication department.
– Manage high-level relationships with donors on behalf of the client and maintain strong working relationships to ensure ongoing partnership support.
– Represent clients at internal and external forums.
– Bring in new clients.
– Develop new products and tools to support our clients.
– Develop and give online and offline trainings.
Required qualifications and desired skills:
– Demonstrated experience and track record in foundation fundraising.
– Demonstrated experience and track record in (high net worth and legacy) individual fundraising.
– Proven team player and ability to take decisions independently.
– Dynamic interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
– Experience in developing countries and knowledge of the global international development cooperation sector.
– A commercial, result oriented and pragmatic approach.
– Master’s degree in Economics, Marketing International Development, International Affairs or other related field.
– Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fundraising.
– Excellent work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Excellent language skills in English and in Dutch.
Our office is based in Gouda, the Netherlands. However, you will work a majority of your time from clients’ offices, often in the Randstad area. A large first assignment will be with a client based in The Hague.
Work from home and flexible hours may be possible for part of the time. Frequent (international) travel might be part of the assignments.
We offer you a great opportunity to build a consultancy firm together with the team. In this 3 -5 days per week position you can support our clients in acquiring more resources, so that they can better achieve their goals.

Who are we? We are a startup consultancy firm that supports charity organizations around the globe in raising more support and funding for their causes. We want to provide them with the best tools and knowledge available to attain this goal. We want to reach more of these organizations online, to be able to offer them more for lower costs.
What do we want to achieve through this internship? The goal of this internship is to help us increase the number of charities we reach online, in order to provide them with the most up-to-date knowledge on fundraising. We will offer this knowledge by developing (free) webinars, toolkits, and posts about fundraising on our online channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and our website. We also want to use these platforms to share best practices of our clients to inspire others and increase their visibility.
Who are you? You are a highly motived person with knowledge of marketing and communications. You would like put this knowledge into practice and to support many charity organizations around the world. You have experience with social media and with commonly used software for photo-, text- and video editing. You are able to speak and write in English. You are available for a minimum of three months, two days per week.
